Traditional Uses: A tincture of the roots is used on mothers after giving birth as well as to protect liver. Also to alleviate symptoms of black magic.
Whole plant used to reduce fever, cure toothaches, dissolve blood clots, and cure convulsions in infants.
The bark is used as an antidote for poison and to treat eye disease, diarrhea and hemorrhages.
Flowers can be used to help with indigestion, stomach pains, constipation and intestinal gas.
